Since 1987, Child Evangelism Fellowship® of Alberta (CEF of Alberta) has been ministering to the lost children of Alberta so that they can come to Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord and be discipled for Christian service.
CEF® of Alberta is an evangelical, Bible-centred mission whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living.
CEF of Alberta is a part of Child Evangelism Fellowship Inc. (founded in 1937 & headquartered in Warrenton Missouri, USA), an international, interdenominational family of ministries currently serving in over 160 nations, and counting.
As a ministry we seek to share the good news of Jesus Christ with every boy and girl of Alberta, train them in biblical principles and establish each one of them in a local body of Christian believers. Secondly, leadership training of young people and adults is a vital component of our ministry as we seek to multiply those involved in ministry. This training is aimed at equipping Christians with tools and resources needed to effectively reach today’s child.
With our worldwide headquarters in Warrenton, Missouri, the ministry of CEF is "tried and true", effectively interacting with children and their families for over 65 years. We belong to the North America/ English-speaking Caribbean region. Our Canadian national office is located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Within Canada, we are divided into seven constituencies: BC/Yukon, Alberta/NWT, Saskatchewan, Manitoba/Nunavut, Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces.

It is with regret that we say goodbye to Rahul Massey as Provincial Director of CEF of Alberta. Rahul started out with CEF as a volunteer, taking care of the IT area. He moved from volunteer to part-time staff status in the fall of 2009 and slowly took on more responsibilities in the area of promotion and marketing. In the fall of 2010, he was asked by the board to take on the role of Provincial Director, which he accepted. During this time, he continued to run his own computer company and fit CEF in as he was able. He partnered with a local radio station to minister to children in Calgary and Edmonton and was able to make many new contacts through that.
With the responsibilities of a growing family and demanding business, he was not able to give CEF the time it deserved, so on February 15, he stepped down from the position of Provincial Director. His wife, Bonnie, had been working with CEF part-time, answering phones and emails, making sure that communication continued to happen in the Provincial office, but is now also finished. We are thankful to Rahul and Bonnie for their dedication to the work of CEF and look forward to continuing a close relationship with them in the future.
